| Hi Bas, I noticed in a couple of your replies, you mention allowing an opponent (on the street) to launch the first strike, something that is at at odds with alot of advice that is given.
Could you expand on why you feel this is your preferred strategy, and do you think this something that an experienced fighter can perhaps manage better than the average guy?
Thanks Paul |

Hey Paul,
It is my strategy because I am a professional fighter, if I would throw the first punch, even when he just beat up a woman, I will go to jail for sure. With me saying that he has to throw the first punch, I don't mean let him hit you. Just stay out of his reach and let him miss, but now he started. So you are right, a professional fighter should do that and because they are pro's, they can get away with it. But I think any person can sty out of his reach and let him miss, OR, when it's in a small place, you can close the distance and stand really close to him, the only thing you have to watch out for is a headbut, elbow or knee, even to the groin. Put your left arm up like in a fighting stance and put your right hand on you left biceps and now don't make a fist with your left hand, relax it and put it under your jaw, just like you are talking. This stands doesn't look threatening at all, but you can block any attack to the head with your left hand and counter right away with your right. The trick is to NOT look like you are having your "defense" up. Try this, I always used to do this, looks very natural but is a good stand.
It's a fine line you have to walk, sometimes the law is just crazy, as you guys all know, especially police officers have no rights, it's a mystery to me why they won't allow them to have more rights.
Listen, if there is a weapon, no need to wait, just go in and stop your opponent by any necessary means!
The worst part is that if you make the wrong decision, you can't turn back the clock, you really have to hope that you made the right one, street fighting sucks, it's pretty much never for a reason and ends up most of the time wrong, it's sad.
Godspeed and Party on!
