PostSubject: finding a job as a bouncer   Thu Dec 20, 2007 5:45 pm

I recently decided to search for a second job, because of my expierence in judo a friend suggested that i work as a bouncer. After some thought i decided it worth the shot and i have a few places in mind ( mostly strip clubs) but if i have to stand all night and listen to top 40 i can atleast enjoy the view. Now thsi is were i need the advise from you and anyone else who wants to jump in.

My question is how do i initiate the process? do i speak to the club owner/manager or to the head bouncer. what questions do i ask and how can i prove to them that im serious about the job. do i mention my judo expierence, some type of verbal resume ( started when i was 15 im 26yrs now) Ive talked to two friends that worked at seperate bars and they both said that i wouldnt be hired because im to small for the job 5'7 155 lbs and my size alnoe isn't imtimidating enough to stop the would be thugs from fighting in the club. im from the states and last that i check you didnt need any certification like you guys have. I beleive its call S.I.A.

YOur feedback will be most appreciated, the reason i droped this question on your door step is because we're around the same build and you've probably been though the same BullS***t.
