Hi John,
I read the thread about the pistol punch on your old Q&A on the SP Dot Com forum.
I've been practicing it from what I can figure out from the thread and I like it a lot, or maybe it likes me a lot. It seems really natural and powerful to me. I really like the fact that it comes up from under the eyeline and is a sneaky shot.
Did you ever use it on anyone taller than you and given the choice would you prefer the pistol punch or an upward rising palm heel shot to the underside of the jaw?
Thanks for you advice in advance,

regards Peter.

ps, I can also see where the elements of the Peter Consterdine double hip fit into this punch as well.

Used it plenty of times from varying positions its a nice shot to the body as well as the jaw.
If close in I utilise an uppercut from a pleading palm position, the uppercut travels no more than an inch or so to knockout effect.
take care
John

Thanks for that John.
I'll have to practice that with the pleading palm position. I've been practicing it on the angled wall pad with my right hand down at waist or pocket, (holster!) level. I can see that if you brought the striking hand up closer to the aggressor's chin it would aid accuracy and also look quite natural, in a deceptive way Smile

Regards,
Peter
