Hi John et al,

I completely agree with you my friend. When it comes to a preemptive attack, there's no need for an "appetizer," just take full advantage of the pre-contact elements of deception and surprise and blast your adversary into oblivion with your "main entree." As you said, it's hard to predict what reaction an "appetizer" will elicit from an individual thus jeopardizing the elements of surprise and accuracy for the "main entree." It's simply better to go with a single power strike (aka the "main entree") to a relatively stationary target to stack the deck in your favor in terms of surprise and accuracy.

There's a combat axiom along the lines of what we are discussing that a well-known RBSD pioneer advocates which goes "lead with speed and devour with power." I much prefer "lead with deceive and devour with power."

Take care pal, I'll talk to you soon...

Best Regards,
Lito
