Hi Guys,
My predictions almost mirror Vic's...

Calzaghe over Hopkins via unanimous decision.

GSP over Serra via TKO or unanimous decision.

Bisping over McCarthy via TKO or submission.

Franklin vs Lutter, that's a toss-up for me. I'm rooting for Lutter.

Quarry over Starnes via TKO or decision.

Take Care,
Lito

Calzaghe by decision or late stoppage.

Mat Serra v George St Pierre

Serra's always underrated. His jiu jitsu is excellent, he's shown he can strike by KOing GSP before, he's tough and he's committed. I still think he'll get beat. GSP, if he's focussed (always his weakness, and a common flaw in ridiculously talented athletes) then he's too big, too strong, too fast and too good for Serra. GSP by TKO.

Rich Franklin v Travis Lutter

This one will be close. They're both talented fighters and this would almost certainly be the MW championship match up if it weren't for the freak of talent that is Anderson Silva, who recently beath both of them with ease. I'm giving it to Franklin because he's the better all-round fighter but Lutter's good enough on the ground to catch him if he's not careful. Franklin by decision.

Bisping v McCarthy

Bisping by KO, and relatively easily. Bisping was a small light heavy but he's a big middleweight and his striking and aggression will be too much for McCarthy

Bocek v Danzig

Danzig, by whatever he feels like. This should be an easy fight for him. It's designed to be: the UFC always want their TUF winners to get off to good starts.

Starnes v Quarry

I'm going for Quarry by TKO here. Starnes will have the crowd on his side, but nothing else.

I'm going with Hopkins. I can't stand the guy (even though he's from my home town) but something tells me he's got one more trick up his sleeve. I'm rooting for Calzaghe though.

St. Pierre by TKO.

Franklin by decision or TKO.

Bisping by TKO.

Quarry by TKO.

Hi Again Gents,
Oh forgot, one more...

I'm with you Jeff, Danzig will dominate Bocek and stop him via strikes or submission.

Looking forward to all the fights tonight. Enjoy them guys...

Take Care,
Lito

Hi all,

I thought the UFC was a really good event. Cracking fights and even thought the ouotcomes weren't surprising they were satisfying. Standouts for me were the applied pressure of Nate Quarry who was awesome against Starnes. The ruthless aggression of Bisping and the grit of Bocek and Danzig.

GSP was simply a class apart. If he stays on track then he could dominate the division for a LONG time.

Calzaghe was another gruelling bout for the Welshman but I really thought he deserved the decision. Shame that Hopkins couldn't be more gracious in defeat but there you go. Joe is a shoe-in already for sports personality of the year and may well go down as the greatest British boxer of the modern age.

I thought the performance Kalib Starnes gave against Quarry was disgusting. that guy should never be allowed to fight again. Quarry's antics at the end were hilarious. Quarry also gave a shout out to a buddy of mine for helping him with his jiu-jitsu which I thought was cool.

The Calzaghe fight was a snoozer, but I gave him the slight nod. I HOPE HOPE HOPE he doesn't fight Roy Jones next. I would love to see him against Pavlik.
